“Steppin’ Out” – The New Single

I recently asked a question on my Facebook page: What song should I cover?  Out of the many good (and some hilarious) suggestions, I chose the 80′s Joe Jackson pop classic “Steppin’ Out”.  I broke out the synths, piano, and trusty glockenspiel for this, a great tune from one of my favorite artists. Thanks to the fantastic Noah Baerman for the idea!  I recorded all of the instruments on this track, and it was mastered by award-winning producer/songwriter/righteous dude Clint Lagerberg.  You can get the song right now at iTunes, Amazon MP3, and wherever fine MP3s are sold.

A little Spiraling for a good cause

It’s that time of year again, when I get together with Bob, Marty, and Paul for what is now an annual Spiraling reunion. It’s been a year since we last played together, and we’re back to play a couple of festive numbers at Glen Burtnik’s Xmas Xtravaganza. Continue reading

Exquisite timing

Last week I unveiled my debut single, “When You Told Me Not To Go” here on tombrislin.com.  The response so far has been great, and I thank those of you who left such nice comments.  The song is free for the taking, so be sure to download it.

It’s a good thing that I got the song out when I did, because the very next day, my home studio flooded.  Having been spared when the big Nashville flood happened in May, I thought I was in the clear. Continue reading
