I’ve spent the last few days at Area 602 Studio, recording keyboard tracks for The New Progressives. With Brett Kull engineering, Francis Dunnery has been producing the sessions. Francis’ approach to production is a unique one. For instance, a typical exchange would go something like this:
ME: ”What would you like me to play on this song?”
FRANCIS: “What would you rather be? The Pope’s cousin, or an incredibly famous fish?”
Remarkably, I knew just what to play.
